The USA Sevens Rugby was the official U.S. stop of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, a globally televised international rugby event attracting tens of thousands of fans and showcasing the world’s top national teams. Originally hosted in San Diego and later in Las Vegas, the tournament became one of the premier rugby events in North America, blending elite competition with large-scale live entertainment.
I created the official USA Sevens Rugby logo, which became the primary visual identity representing the event worldwide across broadcast, digital, print, and on-site applications. While I was not responsible for the day-to-day marketing or full event design, my role as head of Rhino Rugby’s brand and marketing allowed me to strategically leverage the event to promote Rhino, and supported select marketing and brand initiatives for the tournament as needed.
In addition to the logo, I designed and produced all official USA Sevens merchandise sold in-stadium and through the event’s retail superstore. These merchandise programs generated significant on-site revenue, including a single weekend exceeding $500,000 in sales, while also providing a platform to extend Rhino Rugby’s visibility to a national and international audience.
